Results came in last Friday, I recieved both a postcard in the mail and a phone call letting me know that all the biopsies ended up being benign! The phone call scared me at first since I first got the postcard in the mail and thought "Crap, they messed something up and now I'm going to pay for getting too excited and relieved" but they just wanted me to know that although they found "abnormal cells" in the concerning mole on my back there was no sign of cancer cells. Shawn was so excited and said, "I think we should frame this card, it is in fact the first time you've ever recieved good news from a pathologist!" I just thought wow that would not be something I would want to explain to anyone who happened to visit our house and see a framed postcard from a dermatologist's office, AND I wouldn't want it to jinx me in some way ;)
I didn't realize just how much weight would be lifted off my shoulders when I found out the results were all benign, I literally didn't know what to do with myself, I guess I also hadn't realized that I fully prepared myself for anything but a benign result, it was a really great feeling, and I hope it won't be the last time I have that type of feeling. Well, that is all, I just figured I should update my blog with the good news before I completely forgot about that whole experience of waiting to find out whether or not I would have cancer once again. Thank God! I feel very blessed in SO many ways! Thank you for the prayers, positive thoughts and for reading my blog, even though I'm yet to be a consistent, reliable blogger hah! Take care! and remember to check your body for any changing, sensitive, weird looking moles! Seriously...I would hate to think what would've happened if I hadn't gotten them taken care of, those "abnormal cells" could've easily changed to active cancer cells.
